MINI Considers Opening Stores Within Non BMW Dealerships
With one exception, all of Mini's 121 U.S. dealers are also BMW franchisees, reflecting BMW's desire to keep its small-car brand within the family.

I doubt that any other automaker would allow Mini to set up shop inside their dealerships.

Just like another ship that sailed from England and had trouble on its way to America, Mini is not in the 'rearranging the deck chairs on the titanic' phase of its existence.

Mini should be sold to Tata for $1 or 1 Euro. Its worthless but costly to BMW.

The roadblocks and unintended consequences will sink this out of the box or in time. This guy who comes from Ford and Harley-Davidson, both of which are struggling, trying too hard to impress new bosses it would seem. Wiser heads should prevail.

Such a dumbass plan. Amazing leaders like that get a job and would be trusted with a decision that big. Mini's problem isn't where its dealers are, its product. And it always has been.

Typical Idiot EVP, Peyton trying to make a name for himself, how did that work out with Harley ?? Shit Show.. so bring the chaos to MINI. New Dealership interiors and more dealers will not sell more units, but it will be a long time before the arrogant idiot learns his lesson, while MINI Dealers shoulder the burden of his STUPID ideas the brand will continue its decline... the MINI E with less than 150 mile range.. that is what needs help, not more dealers...fools paradise at BMW while they chase anything that can shift the focus from bad product planning.
