Will Rivian's Quad Motor Offroad Truck TRUMP Tesla's City Slicker Pickup?

Tesla’s Cybertruck gets revealed in 10 days. We know it will have incredible performance in a straight line, and that Elon will trumpet its zero-to-60 number. But a vehicle’s offroad capability is more about handling. Whether or not Tesla can steal electric-truck thunder back from Rivian will be based on a simple metric: how many motors are on board the Cybertruck.

You remember, the truck that could tow one million pounds, out handle a 911 and go a thousand miles on a single charge, all while costing under $50,000.
The only catch is you have to believe in Santa and the Easter bunny. Tooth fairy is optional.

I would question a truck with a large battery pack that - because of the need for ground clearance - would have a large proportion of its weight high off the ground.

They are going to be manufacturing Rivians in my hometown, and about a month ago RJ and the company came to town for a visit and showed off the new cars. They are an extremely impressive brand and I think will do well as a result of their leadership and approach. I took pictures at the event but am not sure how to link them here.
