Ferrari Introduces An All-new, 600+ Horsepower Coupe Dubbed The Roma — What's YOUR First Impression?

Ferrari's press release follows:

The new Prancing Horse V8 2+ coupé unveiled at a dedicated event in Rome

Harmonious lines, timeless elegance and cutting-edge technology set new standards in the category

Rome, 13 November 2019 – The Ferrari Roma was revealed during a dedicated client event held in Italy’s iconic capital. The new mid-front-engined 2+ coupé features refined proportions and timeless design combined with unparalleled performance and handling.

Ferrari Roma

Not only is the Ferrari Roma an icon of Italian design, but it also represents the pinnacle of performance in this category, thanks to its turbo-charged V8 from the family of engines that has won the overall International Engine of the Year award four years running. In this version, the engine reaches 620 cv at 7500 rpm and is coupled with the new 8-speed DCT gearbox that was introduced on the SF90 Stradale.

With its distinctive flair and style, the car is a contemporary representation of the carefree, pleasurable way of life that characterised Rome in the 1950s and ‘60s. The Ferrari Roma offers discerning clients the finesse and refinement that brings the concept of “la Dolce Vita” right up to date.

Tesla is faster so therefore a better car.

A $56k Model 3 Performance is faster, which is kind of disappointing on Ferrari's effort here--they should have made this an EV.

The design is stunning.

MD, note the big screens and the streamlined utilitarian design. Welcome to how modern cars will look from here on out.

And now you know why the Maserati Alfieri was shelved.

Clean. Elegant. Beautiful to look at. The origami Asian designers should take a lesson.

Sex on wheels. Total study and elegant lines but methinks a different colour would showcase this even gooder. Bravo Ferrari on another homer!

Well, it's not ugly like every Ferrari has been for too long now, but the Ferrari styling DNA in it is a a zero. Throw a Genesis badge on it and it's a Genesis Coupe. Throw a Mazda badge on it and it's an RX9. Very generic. Not ugly but this is a very forgettable looking car. It will sell because it's a Ferrari but this will not be one of their icons.

I thought it was a new Jaguar. This is far too bland for a Ferrari. They are reaching out to different customer types with this model as well as the Portofino and the Lusso. The new SUV has the same mission when launched.

No trends, no fads. Just classic proportions and just enough detail to make it distinctively Ferrari. Beautiful.

Looks like Ferrari is moving in on Lamborghini performance sedan home ground space.

It really looks like a refreshed Jag F Type.
I'm curious to see pricing. Also, there is a lot of overlap between the Roma and Portofino.

Beautiful, but why does Porsche NOT make a Cayenne Coupe or Cabriolet?

I'd rather have a Cayenne coupe/cab.

Looks like what you get when when Porsche (back) and Tesla (front) rumbled in the sack.

Why does it has a Cayman side profile butt? :)
