TRIGGERED: Left Ignores Decades Of Green Innovation After Toyota Dares To Side With Trump

Two weeks ago, Toyota sided with the Trump administration’s bid to bar California from setting its own fuel-efficiency and zero-emission rules. The next day, on Oct. 29, former U.S. Labor Secretary Robert Reich, tweeted, “Toyota, goodbye. The environmental goodwill you’ve built by pioneering hybrid cars has vanished in your choice of Trump over California. #toyotatrump.” And the Toyota-Trump boycott was started.

Stupid people. Toyota is still making the Prius. It makes no sense for one state to dictate fuel economy standards.
California could decide that half of your fleet needs to be EVs. This does not mean that Toyora, GM are abandoning moving toward greener vehicles. They just want a realistic timetable.

I think you hit the nail on the head here. The biggest problem with your argument is that it uses common sense. Those against it are taking emotion over all else.

Correct. It is an emotional response as people feel that their belief in what they thought the company stood for (environment) is not completely true. They also stand for profit and market share. Seeing how the impeachment trials are now going I don't see this issue being a problem from much longer.

How is one state "dictating" fuel economy standards? Nobody is forcing any car company to abide by California's standards. Also why shouldn't California, with it's unique climate situation which can trap pollution for extremely long periods of time, continue to have unique standards based on their situation as they have had since the 70s?

Impeachment? What impeachment. Never going thru the Senate. Its a waste of time and money that should be spent on real issues facing the country.

@PUG- You might be right. Put with so much corroborating evidence presented as well as testimony, the case is pretty tight and will be seen as such by the public. The Senate can vote any way they want. But at some point they have to calculate is it better to impeach (to save my seat) or will I chance it? Time will tell.

I want to avoid the politics in a discussion about whiny Prius owners. However, the House is correct in pursuing impeachment. It is clear he is acting lawlessly.
However, I do not think Pelosi has a care as to if the Senate will remove him. They won't. Her goal is to damage the republicans so that democrats can win the senate and maybe the presidency. But they need a better candidate who will steer toward the middle.
History is on her side. Yes 20 years ago Clinton survived his impeachment, but even with approval ratings at 71 percent (tRump currently at 41 %) his and the Democrats brand was damaged. The damage for republicans will likely be worse.
Sadly, both parties engage in this BS rather than run the country.

Never, ever expect reason or logic when it comes to the intolerant left.

@CANADIANCOMIC you lefties have zero grasp of reality. There is zero evidence being presented, just a series of Joe told John, and John told Jack, and Jack told Paul, and I overheard them dribble. The DimCrats two star witnesses apparently have never spoken to POTUS and are just angry little b*****s crying about the fact that POTUS is making foreign policy. How dare him buck 20 years of stupid U.S. foreign policy providing security to all the World on the back of the U.S. taxpayer. Maybe you should be more concerned about the blackfaced retard running CanadaH.

@Bach24- Just observing, but there were people in the room on the call and people transcribing the call. It isn't rocket science. These folks are also testifying. Ask a lawyer how they see it. You may get a surprising answer.

Please name the “ Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors” to warrant impeachment?

The right are insecure, uncomfortable with change, belligerent, racist, and just generally uncomfortable to be around. Look at all the assholes/trolls on this site and you will notice there is a common theme: they are conservatives.
