GM Shelves EV Car Intro At 2020 CES. With TWO MISSES With Volt AND Bolt, Can You EVER Envision Them Making A Winning EV?
GM was supposed to show a new EV at the upcoming 2020 CES show in Las Vegas but that idea has been scrapped.

No one knows the real answer why although there are theories but with Ford showing Mach-E Mustang on Sunday, this makes GM look like they're behind the curve.

And implores us to ask the question...With two misses in the 'eco green' space with the Chevy Volt And Bolt, can you ever envision them making a winning EV or ever gaining REAL traction in the EV space?

Spies, discuss...

GM needs to "snatch" a senior designer/engineer from Hyundai to help get itself sorted out. GM is currently hopeless.

Hyundai is a mess given that they can't figure out the placement of Kia and Genesis.

They have the Menlo, which looks perfect for the market, but will it be offered here? #NOPE.

The Mach E shows that Ford "gets it" i.e. that EVs are appealing and whoever can get them to jump from being the car of choice of solely among the intolerant, far-left, entitled, planet-protector, unicorn club and into the true American mainstream will be a winner.

GM design sucks and they know it so they cancel their turf intro... Especially because the Ford Mustang Mach E looks so promising!!!

Prediction: Ford gets over 100,000 reservations for the Mach E.

Over the decades - there have been LOTS of engineering firsts - and some really really good pieces that were made by GM and used on expensive cars including Mercedes, Rolls Royce, and BMW. THere is no shortage of good engineers (Maybe a plethora of stupid accountants and managers though) at GM. Had the Bolt had more conventional styling - I believe it would have been a hit. I never really understood the Plug-in Hybrid - where a conventional hybrid worked quite well and the ones in our Malibu Hybrids drive well and have had no problems.

They never marketed the Malibu Hybrid - and Hybrids have now started to ebb in the market although we know they will come back.

GM however - is a marketing powerhouse - and eventually they will have EV product that will sell well. THat other EV maker was constantly behind on deadlines and I failed to see them being declared DOA - and GM will survive as well

Mary Barra is the problem. Obama installed her doing gender tokenism rather than getting someone with brains.
