#LAAutoShow: UPDATED! The BEST REAL-LIFE Pictures Of The All-new Mustang Mach-E Are HERE!
Well, Ford definitely made a splash tonight.

That's because it revealed the all-new, electric Mustang Mach-E. And, it did it right in Tesla's backyard. Literally. Merely feet from Tesla's design HQ and SpaceX HQ, the team from Detroit rolled out its first, proper electric vehicle.

Even better, the Blue Oval did it in style. Having Hollywood A-list actor Idris Elba serve as the evening's MC, it was cool to learn that he actually worked on a Ford assembly line in Europe.

Personally, my favorite part was when the Detroit Youth Choir came onstage and sang its own rendition of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis' hit "Can't hold us." Then, the Mustang Mach-E rolled out.

To see the buzz surrounding tonight's reveal, check out the FIRST batch of photos coming to you LIVE from LA.

A Mach E with Bullitt wheels would be a delight.

A Shelby GT-E version would be fun.

Bullitt wheels FTW!

Will be interesting to see if they loop in Shelby...

I'd love to see a Shelby Aviator.

Wasn't that Elon Musk wearing the dark sunglasses secretly taking photos of the Mach E...

Elon was probably smoking meth and hanging with his underaged concubines from the Asian rim.

Nice, I really like the overall look! Not sure if it’s just the angle, but the head-on photos show some pretty awful hood gaps on the passenger side..or is it just me?

Just looked at the photos again.

Yeah, there's definitely a gap on the passenger side.

These are obviously pre-production prototypes. WAY pre-production.

Understood, but you would think the fit and finish would be as perfect as possible on an auto show car.

The GT version looks great! Can't wait to drive it. Too bad it's still more than a year away.

I don’t see any information on how exactly Ford plans to build battery packs. The number of battery packs necessary for this scale of production is enormous with Tesla showing that even the world’s largest footprint building is a limiting factor in EV tech. ‘Late 2020” seems a bit optimistic other than handfuls of high end examples being delivered to dealers who will them mark them up another $10k at least. I guess we’ll see if Ford can produce this at all next year but history has shown that new EV tech means nothing concerning the ability of traditional ICE manufacturers (Audi, Benz, Porsche, etc) to come up with anything close to Tesla when combining price, performance and range. I wish them luck.

So you're stupid enough to think that Ford designed and engineered the Mach E but didn't think about sourcing batteries?

Is this not an X6?

while this might seem controversial... I think its brilliant. It'll get folks that wouldn't consider an EV into one, this makes it appealing. THis is also a reason FOR the Corvette SUV....

Those big tablets in a center are attention magnets. They might look good, but also will contribute to a lot of accidents. Please, leave ‘em at home!
