Best Car Brand Named By U.S. News And World Report - Care To Tell Them Where They Might Be Wrong?

For the fourth year in a row, Mazda has been awarded the “Best Car Brand” by U.S. News & World Report. Mazda’s line-up was praised for offering entertaining performance, intuitive infotainment systems, and upscale interiors.

“Mazda’s car lineup continues to set the standard by which other brands should be judged,” said Jamie Page Deaton, executive editor of U.S. News & World Report. “From the practical Mazda6 to the sporty MX-5, engaging driving dynamics and upscale interiors make any Mazda car a pleasure to own.”

Of all the Asian brands they are the best looking (except the Kardashian ass on the new 3 hatch) and offer good value for the money and are super reliable. I have used a few 3's for delivery beaters for my business and they have been bulletproof long term -300KM and counting with only fluids, plugs, brakes and tires as they wore out. Great cars with minimal upkeep and dirt cheap car parts when rarely needed.

You can't name a brand as "brand of the year" if sales numbers in its specific market segments don't support it. Why? Because clearly, SOMETHING is missing to the buying public. They're not overpriced so that's not it. Is it the sales experience? Is it the service experience? Is it because their interiors across the board tend to be more cramped than competitors? It's not marketing b/c I see Mazda ads everywhere. When your brand doesn't even sell as much as an Accord or Camry every month, there is something amiss with the brand.

Obviously - the problem is with US News - maybe Mazda would be doing better if they were not mentioned by US news.

Really? US News & World Report picks best car brand in world is like Motor Trend picking the best golf ball brand in the world.

Mazda makes fine cars. Great interiors for the price and drive very well. However, Mazda cars seem to be tweeters. I drove the Mazda6 after reading rave reviews. The handling seemed no better than most mid-size FWD cars, but it is not as roomy as its direct competitors. Mazda is moving to a niche that is disappearing. People are either moving up to buy a luxury or buying a very inexpensive car.
