Porsche Delays Taycan Deliveries Up To 10 Weeks
A recent post on the Facebook Porsche Taycan Group reveals that the Taycan is now running on an 8- to 10-week delivery delay. A Norwegian reservation holder received an email from the German automaker explaining the situation.

From what I know if you buy a car that is on its way to the dealer as they spec'd it out to have on the floor you can get your car quicker as is being that it is already going to be produced. If you want YOUR car with its own spec you have to wait. My question is, if it is 8-10 weeks for the Taycan how does this compare to a custom / personal spec 911?

And I’m sure that 8-10 week delay could be longer depending on specs and that’s if everything goes as planned with general assembly/shipping...

Porsche will benefit from more resources than Tesla and the giant Volkswagen backing them, however those delays allow the competition time to catch up.

2020 will bring more launches/debuts of rivals and I think Porsche may discount the Taycan sooner than later

Hopefully they figure this out. I expect delays from a startup company like Tesla but didn’t see this coming from Porsche. Regardless, can’t wait to see it at the LA Auto Show this weekend.
