#LAAUTOSHOW: 2020 Genesis G90 Challenges The Germans With It's North Amercan Debut

The 2020 Genesis G90 has just been unveiled for the U.S. market at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

The South Korean automaker launched its new-and-improved flagship sedan at the end of 2018 in Korea before going on to show it at the Montreal Auto Show in January. Consequently, we’re already quite familiar with its design – which leaves no room for mistaking it for its predecessor.

Would have to be certified pre owned and cost less than $30k for me to go near it

BanzAudi design is fierce! lol

I was thinking, I'd get it CPO b/c then the price would be reasonable & right.

The smallish N.A. V8 is just sad. The TTV6 with AWD seems cool.

Kind of a mess, really. Not a single cohesive design element.

An unsightly grill combination of the Acura beak and the Lexus locomotive grill. Really awful.

I think it might be possible for Genesis to sell more 2nd level Luxury cars than OPEL does in the USA. ANything can happen - it is just as possible that Peugeot/Citroen will bring back the opel Senator too.

People buying in this segment want a certain image (is. 3 pointed star). This will fail to sell well just like Lexus, BMW and Audi despite all 3 having competent product.

The grill looks like a Valentine's Day Card

Too conservative for my tastes.

There certainly seems to be a trend toward giant grills.

The grill looks like chicken wire from a farm.

The current G90 has achieved its goals. It is the limo of choice in Korea and is growing in popularity in Asia.

The Germans have NOTHING to fear from this hot mess. However it will make a nice buy when they start showing up for $30k used.

The G90 is a going to be excellent, but that face is terrible. The pre-facelift car was quite good. The genius move would be to price it like an E Class.

This is a good looking car if you can get past the sad dog look that that friggin giant grill imparts to it. The interior is nicely done, I for one do not like the iPad look, put it in the panel and make it look like it belongs there.

If they the made the base of the grill flat instead of pointed, and gave the chicken wire a darker shade of chrome, it could be more palatable. The rear lights look dated and the interior sterile. Not feeling the rims either. Other that than...decent effort :)

What if we say Elon wanted it that way?
