DRIVEN + VIDEO: Doug DeMuro DETAILS The All-new Porsche Taycan Turbo S

While the initial reviews debuted and discussed thee all-new Porsche Taycan, we wanted to follow up with one that we know a lot of folks were looking forward to. That would be Doug DeMuro's take on the all-new electric Porsche.

So, what'd he think?

Well, I don't want to give it all away but I will say this. Having just watched the clip myself I learned several new things about the Taycan and I know I am glad to have seen this video.

I could do without some of the ridiculousness that ensues but, hey, who am I to judge? That said, check out DeMuro's point of view, below!

Exterior looks great, red leather seats look awesome, tech UI/UX is pretty terrible... a screen to control another screen? a non-capacitive touchscreen mixed with other touchscreens? Also, while the charging port looks cool, that is extremely unpractical and unintuitive. Also something is up with the range since it should not be drawing on the battery that quickly even doing crazy launches.

Seems like a solid first attempt, which hopefully will translate into an incredible next-gen electric 911 in a couple years.

Doug encapsulates the magic of America - if YouTube didn't exist to provide him a very good living, he might be toiling away at a nondescript job (I think he was a journalist before his YouTube fame) someplace in obscurity.

Taycan is in a different league. Model S has been out since 2011.

The Model S has been updated dozens of times since launch. The plaid version next year will likely come with an interior refresh (I hope). It doesn't need much to be honest, OLED brakelights would be nice along with a slightly more lux interior with a different screen setup.
