Aiming For The Wrangler? Land Rover Plans Budget Off-Roader

Land Rover is said to be readying a series of changes to its line-up with the introduction of an entry-level off-road model and a luxurious variant of the new Defender.

 

According to Autocar, which doesn’t cite its sources, the entry-level model could be priced at around £25,000 (US$32,800) in the UK and feature a design akin to the more expensive and larger Defender.

Make it no more than $32k, gas not EV, and include basic safety features like blind spot monitors, parking sensors and adaptive cruise. That would sell like hotcakes, especially if the design was right. No melted ice cream swoopy look - make it look like the original Land Rover.
