UH OH! After The 12th Tesla Using Autopilot Crashes Into A Police Car, NHTSA Announces Investigation
The U.S. auto safety agency said Friday it will investigate a 12th Tesla crash that may be tied to the vehicle’s advanced Autopilot driver assistance system after a Tesla Model 3 rear-ended a parked police car in Connecticut on Saturday.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration special crash investigation program will investigate the Dec. 7 crash of a 2018 Tesla Model 3 on Interstate 95 in Norwalk, Connecticut, the agency confirmed...

To make matters worse, it is not just the driver at risk. These cars are putting the general public at risk. I’m starting to get nervous when I see one too close in my rear view.

I get that Tesla used a completely inappropriate name for their driver assist package, but when will these idiot drivers stop using it beyond it's designed functionality? It's not like there aren't tons of news stories telling them it's not fully a fully self-driving function.

As evidenced by the Tesla goons here, logical thought is not that gang's strong point.

Where are SanJose and the other fanboys to tell us how far ahead Tesla is on autopilot technology?
I guess this will be an obstacle to the one million robotaxis Elon promised for 2020.

It's insanely ahead of any other system. Just because a drunk driver decides to use it in an unsafe way doesn't mean it's inferior to other system. Heck, you can't even change lanes in any other consumer solution besides autopilot. Out of 1 million+ lane changes, 0 accidents... interesting right.

Texting while driving is illegal in most states, yet people still do it. Should we ban bringing a phone of any kind in a car for fear that someone might use it illegally?

Again SanJose, more than one research group has concluded that the GM and MB systems are superior to Tesla. The only "insane" thing here is your insistence that everything Tesla is better.
Since you work in Tesla PR, why no answer on the accounts receivable issue? Could you ask Elon about that?

How long ago were the comparisons made? That is definitely not the general opinion in the EV community. You can't even change lanes with the EV system or use it outside of select freeways.

Personally I think radar cruise control should be enough on this front to satisfy anyone. Autonomous driving and glass cockpits are not what the auto industry needs to pursue.

They're the most innovate car company so far in the 21st century, there isn't even a close 2nd option.
