If The USA Allowed CLONES Of Famous Brands — Like In China — Would You EVER Consider BUYING One?
Over the years we've had a lot of fun watching what goes on in the Chinese market. That's because it's a total free for all.

Like many other products that are cloned, or very closely mimicked, the auto industry follows suit.

Can't afford to get into a Porsche? Scope out an Eagle. Want a Land Rover Range Rover Evoque? How about a Land Wind? You get the gist.

While the U.S. market doesn't allow such high jinks to take place, this got us thinking: What IF it was allowed? Would you EVER consider BUYING an American clone of another manufacturer's product?

China loves to rip off american and european car brands. From range rovers, to Ferraris, Lamborghinis and mini coopers, here are some blatant chinese cloned cars!

Sure I would buy one...as long as they will accept my Dollar clones.

Maybe if it is an exact clone, Same materials etc... have to think on that one a bit... but an EXACT copy of say an R8 at less than 1/2 the price is tempting. You get the experience and fun without the badge+costs.

The USA is not going to allow real clones of famous brands - so the point of the article is moot.

In the end, they are not clones - they just Look like they are - which is worse. THey are for the fake Rolex Crowd - which is huge in China too. And often these cars cannot even get out of their own way and the quality is so poor to be obvious to most anyone.

A not so famous person in the Italian car world once said while referencing replica cars.

“I view Fake Cars the same way I view Fake Breasts. I prefer factory originals, but when I’m buried up to my ears in them, I don’t give a $#!+!”
