Glad to see it pass so we can all move on to other agenda items. It would be interesting to see this agreement grow an cover all of Central and South America in the next round. A rising tide lifts all boats, and having an agreement cover all of the America's is a great goal.

Lets see if Moscow Mitch who has over 400+ bills on his desk will allow a vote on it.

He will prioritize the Bill's that line his pocket and allow Moscow's help in the 2920 election.

The press is mentioning the House because they had to approve the treaty before signing. Yes, Trump deserves credit for modifying NAFTA, but it still needs to be ratification. He is not king.

@jeffgall- If you cast your mind back to that period of time there were a few more agenda items on the table and a very unfriendly house and senate to deal with. The Financial crisis being one. Wars on 3 fronts etc. And of course trying to bring healthcare to 38m Americans who had none. Tweaking a trade agreement around the edges that was working just fine did not rise up to the top of the list is my guess.

Obama was elected twice without Russian help. He pulled the economy out of a nosedive and left the country in far better shape than he found it. Trump adjusted a trade agreement.
And xjug, it has been nearly 4 years since Obama left office, no indictments, yet 8 people in trump's lawless circle have been convicted and 2 dozen indicted in a short.
