People Are WAITING For An All-new Jeep Wagoneer But Is It Hiding In Plain Sight TODAY With The Kia Telluride?
When you think of legendary vehicles, you probably think of the Ferrari Testarossa, Lamborghini Countach or perhaps the Mercedes-Benz S600. But, that doesn't apply to everyone.

I know of at least one person who thinks of a Ford Country Squire wagon. And then there's the Jeep fans.

They're dead set on the Wagoneer. Because of this, they're still trading at a premium — assuming you find a clean one with low miles. With the latest buzz suggesting that the all-new Wagoneer is in the works and being developed, people are eagerly awaiting its reveal.

While digging through some old pictures of the Wagoneer, we noticed something. IF you remove the wood paneling and give it a modern swizzle, it would look pretty similar to the Kia Telluride.

Although the Telluride doesn't have the off-roading credibility of a trail rated Jeep, we're pretty confident upwards of 90 percent of the buying public won't drop a tire in the dirt. That said, WHY wait for the all-new Wagoneer when you have a capable, seven-seat sport-utility vehicle in form of the Telluride?

What say you, Spies?

Disagree. Jeep needs to make the Wagoneer more manly. Not another ugly Korean car with gimmick styling.

Kia got the exterior proportions right for the Telluride. It's why consumers like the Tahoe, the Bronco. Def not a gimmick.

Jeep needs to strike with the Wagoneer now. Kids who grew up in the 80s saw the original in countless 80s movies, as the ultimate upper middle class family vehicle. The Great Outdoors, What About Bob, to name a few. This generation, with its current income, is the perfect target for a near luxury family hauler.

People may as well get a Telluride because the Wagoneer is probably dead.

It's been delayed several times because FCA doesn't have the cash to engineer it. Granted it's just a "Tahoe" version of the Ram--so it's just bolting on a different body to the frame--but FCA can't even afford that.

With PSA in control, all product plans will be under review which will delay the Wagoneer to market even more.

Marchionne and Manley are morons. The Wagoneer would probably outsell all of the shit that Alfa Romeo sells in the USA and probably even worldwide with a tidy profit on each sale, but instead M&M continue fapping over the notion of Alfa Romeo without ever delivering the juice.

As for the Telluride. It's high quality and a truly excellent product.

If I want a Porsche but buy a VW Bug with the engine in the back, is the Porsche hiding in plain sight?
You guys must have got a bunch of crack for Christmas and didn't waste anytime getting high.
I am with JazzyJazz on this one. Great post by you.

Is this a joke? If you redesigned ANY car, then that car has the potential to look like any other car. Especially when it comes to SUV design. When an SUV is designed like the Telluride (3-box, no deviation), then any other 3-box design will look similar.

Have you had this thought? "If you remove the Kia badge and ugly taillights, slap a GMC badge on the grille, then you have a Envoy".

I think Chrys/Jeep tried something quick & dirty with the Wagoneer for China. Do a big Jeep heavily based on the current Durango. That failed. There was no real plan B, except to develop a newer large SUV platform bc their past partnerships were no longer viable.

A bad large Jeep has a huge potential of greatly eroding the brand's perceived market value. FCA has been extremely careful.

FCA has been moronic. There is no upside to their incoherent stewardship.
