What’s YOUR Christmas Wish? If Your Favorite Car Company Listened To You, WHAT Would You Ask For?

What’s YOUR Christmas Wish? If Your Favorite Car Company Listened To You, WHAT Would You Ask For?
From the Agents to YOU, we hope you and your family enjoy a Merry Christmas!

While we hope you're opening plenty of auto-related gifts from Santa under your tree this year, we couldn't help but think about all sorts of vehicles today. What can we say? We have a one-track mind here.

That said, we wanted to present a situation.

What IF your favorite auto manufacturer was soliciting feedback from in-market consumers? And, they wanted YOUR opinion about how to change the brand, product or a specific model. What would YOU ask for?

Think of this as your one Christmas wish. Hell, maybe even an automaker will be dialed in and listening — it wouldn't be the first time. ;)

I'll lead off.

I am wishing for a V12 under the hood of the all-new Aston Martin Vantage. Bonus for a manual gearbox.

A Gen 6 4Runner than was made of aluminum and or had a galvanized frame so it did not rust as much or as quickly.

A charging station and an EV in every garage :)

That would collapse the power grid.

A new Cadillac Seville that modernizes the upright look of the 1976 model. No "Art and Science" but more along the lines of how the Lagonda Taraf updated the look for the razor-sharp Lagonda. With sedans losing ground and with all sedans looking like suppositories for the sake of aerodynamics, something that eschews aerodynamics for the sake of bold style could work.

I'd also love to see a Lincoln Town Car but this would be a version of the Mach E that feels very "Rolls Royce" as it coddles the driver and passengers in total cushy luxury.

Not my favorite car company BUT - I am looking for a LARGE passenger Van (12 -15 seats) - Maybe a Ford Transit Mid Height Long Wheelbase- But with easily removed seats in the Back. Some of the Transit seats are bolted in.

Begin production of the convertible Cadillac Ciel.

All Cadillac has to do to win is to build the Ciel, Elmiraj, and Escala.

Correct, Cadillac totally blew it.

Those cadillac concepts are gorgeous, but the high end sedans/coupes are a dying market and it is not worth trying to battle with the S class for the limited market. The smart move would have been to have the XT6 adopt some of the styling elements and interiors.

I would argue that style is lacking.

The departing/departed XJ was ugly.

The Quattroporte, G90, and A8 are dull and boring to look at.

The 7 Series is disgusting.

A big, chrome-laden, magnificent barge could be the alternative to the S Class that is stagnating with styling that began two generations ago.

They need to kill the XT5, restyle the XT6, give it a name, and price it at the XT5 level.

The XT4 needs a total rethink.

They need something between the XT6 and the Escalade.

malba2367: I agree with you but ..... a sedan / coupe high end or not when styled properly will sell. Remember the New VW Bug and PT Cruiser and remember I said "styled properly". That does not always correlate to: ... put together the correct way.

The problem with the 7 Series, A8, XJ, G90, LS, and Qporte is that they are chasing the S Class rather than ignoring it completely and creating a compelling alternative.

I'd also have Cadillac be significantly larger than the price segment.

The Elmiraj and Escala were exactly the right cars for Cadillac to build for the market and instead Johann de NumbNuts squandered the Elmaraj name when he named Cadillac's large sedan CT6. AND how in hell can GM style the Escala so perfectly only to let the stylist of the Aztec translate it to production at the horrifically ugly CT5?

El Mirage with an electric powertrain or a V12 for now... even the new Blackwood V8 would suffice. I am totally with Matt on this one! Get the prestige back into the brand and it would help them sell their lesser models and SUVs.

I would love a Jaguar E type with the original switchgear, but with a contemporary engine and electronics.

For Tesla:
- Factory Matte Wrap Options (Black, Gray, Red, Blue, and Burnt Orange)
- Interior refresh on the S/X
- Autopilot HW3 upgrades to start ASAP (some new features need it, like rendering stoplights, cones, and lane markings)
- Build the CCS/J1772 adapter into US cars instead of including an adapter, there's enough space for it on the Model 3/Y
- Release a MCU3 upgrade with 5G and enough storage for Dashcam functionality sans USB stick
- OLEDs with smaller bezels
- Replace all USB ports with high power USB-C
- Roll out more FSD features in Q1
- Disney+, HBO, and Amazon video apps
- Early Model Y shipments in Q1
- Increase the pace on V3 Supercharger deployments
- Release something that will surprise everyone in 2020

Not in any order of preference:

1. New F-150's with two-tone paint options and more interior styles like plaid's etc.
2. A full-size Four-door Bronco at launch. Same with Two-tones and great interior choices.
3. A More Badass G-class style vehicle from Porsche/Audi/BMW to compete with Defender/G
4. A Lincoln Continental Convertible
5. A Telluride style price correction on many upper-end vehicles. If Kia can offer what they do for $47k the German's, American's and Japanese can do much better.
6. Best of breed massaging seats in Telluride and Palisade.
7. The next Wrangler isn't a 'lazy' redesign like the JL. Revolutionary, not evolutionary on next one.
8. That Tesla scares the sh_t out of all the pickup truck people with Cybertruck and pushes them to all take what it means to be a pickup truck up 5 more levels.

Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah spies! And merry whatever to what else you may celebrate!
