Elon is probably the only uutomotive CEO that is actively doing engineering work day-to-day and gets his hands dirty when needed on problem areas on the line. Same with SpaceX, he's doing actual engineering work.

Do you even know what a tariff is? You can't put a tariff on something that is not imported from one country to another. The Chinese Model 3s are not coming to the US. There could be a future car that is made there and is sent here, but not anytime soon.
