SPIED! FIRST Pics Of The All-new BMW X5M Competition And X6M Competition En Route!
Over the years I have had the chance to see some interesting stuff. That's the beauty of living in northern New Jersey and being surrounded by the headquarters of many Fortune 1000 businesses.

There's just one problem: Little by little, they're leaving. This is what happens when tax rates ratchet up and become a significant burden on a corporation and its respective employees.

Thankfully, some auto manufacturers remain. BMW is one of them.

While taking my M2 for a "German tune up," yesterday I came up on a tractor trailer hauling some autos along the Interstate 287. But as I approached I knew they weren't your normal rides. Perhaps it were the massive, blacked out front grilles but I think it was actually the three huge vents in the front valence that gave it away. These were M cars.

Turns out as I got closer it had a handful of X5M Competition and X6M Competition models. Given my location, I'd guess these were vehicles being shipped from BMWNA's headquarters in Woodcliff Lake but where to? Dealers? A press event? Something else?

Hopefully they get there soon.

We were 5 (twins/single/twins) and thought we were done but an adoption happened. My wife had been told she was infertile so when we got together we used no birth control. Then four years later we got married and instantly got pregnant. Then 6 weeks after the delivery of the twins, the mood struck and yup pregnant with the third. After he was born we figured it couldn't happen again when the mood stuck but it did and we had twins. So we have 5 boys (biologically) that are very close in age so they almost seem like quintuplets and our teenager (adopted). I have 5 siblings and my wife has a passel of brothers so a big family is what we wanted. She being very Italian wants the big loud house and I love my siblings but we had it beyond hard growing up so I wanted things to be easy and thankfully they are.

What? BMW ships it new car totally out in the weather and exposed to road damage? Audi and Porsche cover their cars when shipped. Looks like BMW hired some of the penny pinching GM accountants. Negative marks for BMW.

If I were a betting man I'd guess these are corporate cars, not customer vehicles.

Customer vehicles typically have quite a bit of wrapping on them, especially the six-figure hardware.

Definitely corporate cars - I lived in Bergen Country before moving to the city and was always amazed to drive past BMW headquarters between 8:30 and 9:15 when all the execs were arriving. It was almost comical to see so many BMW's in one place.

A friend worked there and at that time once you got to a certain level they leased you a new car every 6-9 months and then put your old car in the BMW CPO pool.

00R - if you are free on a weekday morning, can you discreetly drive the M2 to Woodcliff for an hour, take a bunch of photos and make a gratuitous BMW photo montage for us? I guarantee there will be some good stuff in there.
