Next Gen Nissan Z Will Feature Throwback Styling
s of last month, Nissan's signature 370Z sports car has been on the market for an achingly long 11 years without substantial changes. A withering sports car market and lack of investment by Nissan into the Z nameplate made its future look cloudy, though small rays of hope shone through in 2018 when an executive went on the record confirming a successor is in the works. It seems now that the next Z could be nearing, as a handful of Nissan dealers have reportedly been shown concept sketches for the new car.

When a company is design clueless and has lost any spark of creativity, they look backwards to retro in a last gasp to come up with some buyers.

It is like a guy who can't find a new lady friend so he gets on his knees and begs for a date with an old flame who long ago dumped him.

The Thunderbird of 2002-2005 epitomizes what you said skytop. I do think the return of the Bronco will be huge. I for one would love to see the next Z have cues from the 70's when the car was good looking. What they have made in the last 21 years has not been attractive in my eyes.

The 350/370Z were/are too expensive for what you get.

They are also disgustingly hideous to look at.

The styling has to be gorgeous and cannot have the Altima face in any way shape or for.

But the Z needs to target the Mustang's price points/offerings:

240Z / $27K / 2.4T
370Z / $30K / 3.7 V6
560Z / $35K / 5.6 V8
Nismo Z / $45K / 3.7TT

On the subject of old is new again - is not the Alpine a110 doing well in Europe? Theres a car I’d like to see here in the US.
I am just glad Nissan has not given up on the Z. I’m tired of all the SUVs on the market.

Here's the irony: I don't have time for clicking up/down arrows like you, but MORE IMPORTANTLY you're psychologically weak if the approval number IN ANY WAY impacts you. If you're an ideological douchebag--as you have been recently--I'll call you out on it, but here's the next irony: calling me names--IN NO WAY--does anything to me because this is the wild, wild west and none of us here are "real". This is all for shits and giggles. If for you this is real, then get into therapy. Put on your big boy panties and stop being such a butt hurt twit.
