DETAILED! See The 2021 GMC Yukon And Yukon XL In This VIDEO Walkaround — Is THIS The New, Must-have Full-size SUV?
Just this week the all-new, 2021 GMC Yukon and Yukon XL made their debut in Vail, CO. Following up on the launch of the 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban, this is a welcome event.

That's because the full-size Chevrolets aren't exactly lighting our fire.

This though. This is different. Especially when you see it in the Denali trim.

To really understand what we mean, check out the video clip below from the folks at Redline Reviews. They had an opportunity to do a full walkaround with the Yukon and provide us with some cool details of the all-new truck.

After you've watched it, let us know: Is THIS the new must-have full-size SUV?

With these hideous grilles growing to the size of barn doors, whatever happened to a designer's concern with aerodynamics?

Oh! Let me dump my fantastic Mercedes Benz GLS since "I must have the hideous 2021 crap box GM SUV."

Who approved these giant, flat front ends? I doubt you can see anything closer than 50 feet in front of it.

A lot will depend on how well GM has done the Independent rear - and I have not seen any reviews of that - but based on GMC sales which are now better - where Chevy's are worse - It is again the advantage of being a middle premium name - basically the only Middle Premium in the space. (The "Buick" of trucks?- Chairman Mao would love it)

But these trucks have been - over the years - reliable and desirable and will sell well too.

These trucks will sell very well, GM has owned this segment for many years with severely outdated product so there is no reason to think this will not continue (unless they get crazy with the pricing). The Mercedes GLS/BMW X7 may be nicer in some regards, but the GM full size product will give minivan like third row space and be more reasonable to own out of warranty than the MB OR BMW. Versus the Ford/Lincoln product GM will absolute dominate...the ride quality will be much better especially with magnetic ride and air suspensions. The Basic GM interior surpasses the Ford and from the looks of initial reviews The Denali interior will give the Navigator a run for its money and if that is the case Escalade will surpass Navigator. Bottom line...as long as the prices stay close to the current gen they will own the segment.

For those that need the room, the XL model will be far superior to the Benz or BMW as there's just more room in the Yukon XL. The German suvs are nicer inside by far, but they're less functional for those that need the space.
