That Infiniti QX55 Fastback You Were Waiting For Has Been Delayed Until The End Of the Year

Infiniti will delay the start of production of its upcoming QX55 by five months, the automaker told its supply chain.

The QX55 was to arrive in dealerships this summer as a coupe-like version of Infiniti's QX50 compact crossover, with production beginning in June. But it will now start in November, suppliers were informed in a letter dated Jan. 13 from Nissan North America's manufacturing team in Aguascalientes, Mexico.

more like - the brand is in the ICU. life is lingering but there's hope.

the QX55 will do ok. but it needs 2 optional engines. HO V6 & TT-V6. otherwise, they miss out on 'power & design' marketing angle.

They're in trouble. Hope this is a hit for their sake. They blew it with the QX50.

Ghosn found Nissan a shitshow and left it a shitshow.
But query: If the solution for Nissan is a merger, who's left for them to merge with and what would they bring to a merger? Of course, as a large Japanese company, I'm sure the government would keep the company alive regardless of the cost. Still.

#WRONG
While Nissan was in trouble, it still had excellent quality. They didn't need the terrorist from Lebanon. A bankruptcy reorganization would have been all they need. The Japanese government would not have let them fail.

A merger with Hyundai-Kia would be an obvious possibility.

goofballs got rid of the original "coupe-like" suv - the FX (QX70) - then realized oops they need to bring it back - enter the QX55. they continue to destroy promising vehicles with botch job after botch job, wtf.
