Is The Media The ENEMY That Is Responsible For DESTROYING The NON-EV Car Business?
Read virtually any mainstream media site when they write about cars and most likely the focus will be on EV's or associating autos with global warming/climate change.

And if you do find stories about non ev's it's usually some ridiculous feature on a muscle car with 7 million horsepower that no regular customer will ever own.

In other words finding good, passionate article about vehicles that most should really know about.

There are a LOT of super rides both cars AND trucks that get hardly any media love.

Yet, the companies that make those are usually the biggest advertisers in the media. Print, internet and TV.

Is it any wonder that so many good products aren't selling and/or on the way out.

So our question tonight is...Is the biggest ENEMY to the mainstream future of NON-EV products the MEDIA?

And if so, WHY are the car companies RACING to help them HURT their businesses?

Spies discuss...

The media isn't into factual, ethical reporting.

Actually they are. Their problem is they aim at sensationalism. Why report boring old news when you can talk about the Kardashians or the false belief that gender is not binary. How much real news is about the serious conflicts going on in the middle east? There is a real genocide happening now in the middle against Christians, who used to make up nearly 20 percent in the region and now make up less than - in the last 30 years.

Read Unfreedom of the Press by Mark Levin. Proof point after proof point of how the media has dropped ethical standards in journalism in support of a political agenda.

The lamestream media is comprised of 95%+ left wing fascists whose agenda is to distort every fact and tilt every story in support of their cause.

Yet, in analysis after analysis, Fox news [sic] is far and away the worst at providing facts (they also have the oldest, whitest and least educated viewers).
Rather than the fascist-right mantra of blaming the messenger, why not provide some hard evidence of this alleged bias?

When you consider that EVs represent about 5% of the market, have yet to be shown to sell profitably without Government subsidies - and sell really well ONLY in certain Urban/Suburban Markets(Mostly where the customer can have a garage based charger) - the problem here is UNCERTAINTY - and I will take a decade or more for that to work its way out.

BEsides the fact that the average American Car Buyer cannot afford even some of the cheapest Evs, they cannot even afford the average ICE car as well. WHile the economy has been wonderful for those of us whose income widely exceeds 7 figures - the average middle class income - adjusted for inflation - has barely moved for decades. And every time they add another NEW MUST HAVE required feature (Like a 220VOLT THree phase Charger in the Garage if you can) - there are less people that need it - because they cannot buy the cars. THe prices on most of the newer EV's have been astronomical - well above the "LIST" of the base model that you cannot get. And EVEN TESLA has admitted that it cannot make the base model 3 profitably.- WHo is going to buy these cars after the rich all have their trophy car? BUT when the average American cannot afford the average Toyota Corolla - there is clearly something that will have to give.

Of course - the next question is - where DO the average Americans get their information on cars - is it from the Mainstream Media - or is it from Automotive Journals and the like - I certainly would not consider MY local Newspaper's opinion of value.

Interesting use of the term “enemies.” I wonder what the author of this article suggests should happen to these evil “enemies”?

This may be the dumbest article ever on this site, and that is saying something.
Are non-EV cars dead? Last I checked (yesterday), Lincoln, Cadillac, MB, BMW, Audi, VW, GM.Ford are all doing very well and making near record, if not record, profits. EVs make up less than 2 percent of the market WITH SUBSIDIES.
When did news outlets cover automobiles?? This is why there are so many car magazines, site, etc.
Tesla is the new shiny thing in a large part because Musk's antics get him on the news. Once the market is saturated, and we are nearly there, it will subside.

Truthy you’re the perfect example of someone that thought they were getting educated and didn’t realize they were getting indoctrinated. ICE engines are being legislated out of existence with the help of the MSM.

Explain to me then, Fanfool, how exactly does the mainstream media accomplish this? How did all 1,000 plus media cooperate to get disparate governments to encourage tighter emission regulations?
Who are the mainstream media?
Are you educated? Do you look at multiple sources for your news or just infowars?

Are you really that naive or willfully ignorant? There is an incestuous relationship Between media and government where individuals, spouses, family members move from policy making positions in government to media positions promoting those policies. Like Claire Shipman of ABC being married to Obama’s Press Secretary Jim Carney or Ben Rhodes senior member of the Obama administration and his brother David Rhodes the President of CBS.

These people are in government setting policy then move to a media position to promote it.
