January 26, 2020 will go down in history as a sad day. Basketball fan or not, it's clear that one of the best players to lace 'em up and hit the hardwood touched many lives across the globe.
It is with great sadness we too mourn the death of Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna as well as the others onboard their ill-fated helicopter ride.
While this is most obviously an automotive website, there's at least a couple things to takeaway from this horrible incident. First, always be sure to let those you love know it. Life is fragile and it can be taken away without notice. Second, Bryant's ethos and work ethic are applicable in all facets of life. Clearly, this is something he lived by as he started another successful chapter outside of basketball.
One thing that made waves was a viral video of Bryant "jumping" over an Aston Martin to promote the launch of a new Nike sneaker. While there was clearly a bit of Hollywood magic here, people still seem to argue whether or not it was real.
