DETAILED, Inside And Out! MORE Pictures Of The 2021 Cadillac Escalade β€” Are YOU Impressed?
The 2021 Cadillac Escalade is here. While I made sure to post the full press release as well as preliminary specifications in a previous thread, I wanted to get you another batch of images that dropped tonight.

These provide much greater detail, inside and out. You'll want to see these.

2021 Cadillac Escalade

**Read the 2021 Cadillac Escalade press release HERE!

As there have been a slew of leaks of the 2021 Escalade, we're not overly surprised with its design. BUT, now that we're seeing GM's latest product fully revealed, we're getting a proper look at Detroit's work.

On the outside, the Escalade carries similar design language to the Escala concept. That's also seen in vehicles like the XT6, CT4 and CT5. This translates into a prominent front grille, squinted LED headlights, tumbling waterfall LED DRLs/blinkers and lots of chrome.

Getting better acquainted inside, there's quite a bit of warmth provided by the sweeping wood trim bits. But, the big news will be its curved, OLED display that measures 38 inches. To my eyes it looks a lot like the Mercedes-Benz S-Class but executed in a cleaner, more elegant way.

All that said, take a look below and let us know: Are YOU impressed?

New Escalade...nothing special; nothing new; nothing unusual: nothing outstanding, typical bland uninteresting GM styling inside and out. (yawn...)

It has a NEW independent Rear - which is a huge change from before. The styling is more restrained but if the ride improvement is substantial - it won't make a difference. It will do just fine

This is just the old vehicle with IRS bolted in with a styling nip/tuck over the top. The "all-new" Silverado/Sierra were just the old trucks restyled and if any proof of that is needed, look under them and compare part numbers. When a vehicle is all-new a slew of new part numbers materialize, but that definitely was not the case for the"Silvierra" and so it goes 'Tahscalakon".

@MD: wrong again....from Chevy: The changes for the all-new Tahoe and Suburban began with a new architecture featuring an independent rear suspension and longer wheelbase

#WRONG

A BOF architecture like the Chevy pickups makes it incredibly easy to "bolt on" either an IRS or a live axle. There was talk of offering the base version of the Tahoe with a live axle.

If you want to believe the bullshit that this is a clean sheet design from bumper to bumper, come by and we'll sign you up as a true believer.

This product is NOT all new.

I like it - a lot! The interior is much better than I expected.

Exterior is fine. The interior is fantastic! Wow!

Will definitely outsell the Navigator.

Money in the bank for Cadillac.

The exterior is it’s weak point. The chrome pillar looks tacky. The rise of the window line rearward looks Chevyish. I do like the blackout trim though but it still looks iffy.

The XT6 was a portent of doom for the Escalade's styling. This is the XT6 only more forgettable. Yeah it will sell but Cadillac phoned this one in. The interior is so-so.

The interior looks very nice. The exterior seems very status quo minus the grille. If I looked at the side and rear profile of the current model with this one I would have a hard time telling the difference.

Better, but it is no Navigator.

Interior is really nice, exterior is ok. It will destroy the Navigator in sales now that it has a nicer interior and matches on interior space.

Overall, it looks like a win.

This isn't my style of vehicle, so my opinion is informed by that preference.

The overall shape is a little too similar to its lower-rent siblings for my tastes. The front and back end are nicely done, all things considered and given the audience.

The interior is a home run visually. I didn't think Cadillac had it in them to compete with the X7's interior or the Navigator's from newly resurgent Lincoln; but they really knocked it out of the park. It looks unique, modern, and expensive.

Some of the smaller details like the turn stalks and the button cluster to the lower left of the steering column look well-designed and not ripped straight from a Chevy, which is nice. The parking break button and the interior cluster light adjustment are from lesser models, but I'm willing to give that a pass when the rest of the interior is this well thought out.

It's going to come down to materials though. It should be noted the model shown in these pictures isn't the highest trim. Other pictures (especially the white interior on the press vehicle) show a leather steering wheel cover, for example. The black interior here shows a pebble-grain material around the shift column in the center console, but it's a smoother material in the white interior. I hope that means it's leather, and not a hard plastic. If it were a plastic, or even a soft-touch material, it would likely have the same texture across the board, whereas a leather can change in texture depending on the quality, and would be smoother in the higher-trim white interior.

Similarly, there's some cheap-looking leather in the upper parts of the doors in the black trim, and I'm hoping that's improved in higher trim levels (it looks that way in the white). The lower parts of the doors have a beautiful fabric option, and I'm crossing my fingers there's no hard scratchy plastic down there.

Other than that, everything looks good. Assuming we're talking the more expensive options, nothing looks low-rent.

The wood options are fantastic, the seat patterns are great, the metal speaker grills are a win, and the color choices are very good.

The rumor is, this is the only vehicle where Johann got his way. If that's true, then we should all count it as a disappointing missed opportunity by Cadillac to have implemented this vision across their product line.

If this is an example of Jockitch de Niacin's vision, thank God he's gone.

Everyone is certainly entitled to their opinion.

The name calling seems childish and unbecoming of your status as a (presumably) functioning adult.
