Jeep Dealers Offering Up To $9000 Off Of New Gladiators

Some Jeep dealerships across the United States are selling the 2020 Jeep Gladiator for as much as $9,000 off the MSRP, Cars Direct reports.

The Jeep Gladiator starts at $35,040 but prices can easily jump to over $45,000 once some options are selected, not chump change. Likely in an attempt to boost sales, Jeep introduced a $2,000 bonus nationally on all 2020 Gladiator models on January 17 and running through until February 3. The incentive was offered for all trim levels except the Rubicon.

Jeep should have also offered a 2 door version with a 5 foot bed at a lower price point.

No surprise. They are ugly, overpriced ride like shit and not a real pick up truck anyways. Give me a F150 over this any day of the week and the Ford will last 2x longer, drive far superior, have less rattles and squeaks...

That's because the thing is overpriced to begin with. Consumers are voting with their pocketbooks.

The Gladiator was a massive miscalculation for product placement.

Being a Jeep dealer at the moment is a precarious thing. You have good sales but a dismal outlook. You have the Renegade that is a bit of a sales dud, but definitely played out. The Compass failed to really hit. The Cherokee is dated and outdated with nothing in sight to replace it. The Grand Cherokee is being replaced sooner or later but it likely to take a quantum leap downward in quality as it leaves the Mercedes chassis for the abysmal Giorgio architecture. The Wagoneer in on again off again on again off again. The Grand Commander needs to be launched, so what are they waiting for? The Wrangler is selling but highly incentivized. The Gladiator was placed as a premium entrant when it needed to be the the penny placed like a Ranger or the Canyorado. Once PSA is fully in control, watch for the programs from FCA to be halted for scrutiny. A Jeep franchise could easily see a tumble over the next 5 years.

No mention of the impending Bronco taking a big bite out of Wrangler sales?
