Daimler Raises Job Cuts From 10,000 To 15,000 In Latest Cost Cutting Strategy
Daimler is intensifying existing cost-cutting measures and plans to cut up to 15,000 jobs, Handelsblatt newspaper reported, citing company sources.

The maker of Mercedes-Benz cars had said in November that it would cut at least 10,000 jobs and reduce staff costs by around 1.4 billion euros ($1.5 billion) by the end of 2022, a number Handelsblatt said would be significantly exceeded.

Keep in mind the entire group employs roughly 289,000 people worldwide. A 10,000 to 15,000 cut is 4.5%-5.5%. Sizable but not unheard of in an organization that size. And certainly not large as headcount cuts go.

But feel free to continue complaining about unions or other stuff you have no clue about.
