because they can build one and offer it for less than $30k before fed/state credits, not everyone drives more than 50 miles each way every day, that's why

Sure the range isn't Tesla range, but most people don't pile hundreds of miles on a day or in a MINI in general anyway. I sell these and it's a blast and it's cheap after tax incentives!

There should be a market for cheap EVs with about 100 miles of range for city dwellers, although I imagine these will be the first to be fully replaced with AVs.
