Ex-Nissan Chief, Carlos Ghosn, Gets SUED By Nissan For $90MM, And This Is JUST The Start...
The Carlos Ghosn saga continues.

After what I thought was a rather long period of nothingness, well, the streak has been broken. That's because Nissan has filed a lawsuit against its ex-chief, Ghosn.

Although the former executive, and now international fugitive, is located in Lebanon, it doesn't seem that isn't stopping Nissan from building a case.

The automaker is seeking an initial amount of $90MM. This means this is only the start of what may be a lengthy process as Nissan seeks to recoup damages related to Ghosn's transgressions.

According to reports, Ghosn is worth $120MM.

Japanese carmaker Nissan has filed a civil lawsuit against its former chairman, Carlos Ghosn.

The suit, filed at Yokohama District Court, seeks an initial amount of $90m (£69.5m).

The company said it aims "to recover a significant part of the monetary damages inflicted on the company by its former chairman".

Mr Ghosn, who faces financial misconduct charges in Japan, said the firm's "manoeuvres" were continuing...

...He said in response to the lawsuit: "Nissan's manoeuvres continue: this complaint is made public on the eve of the Japanese group's financial results...

There will always be a place somewhere that Ghosn can go and hide from the rest of the world. (Even Cuba could be that place). I would suspect that Ghosn has enough money hidden in places others cannot get to it to live a long and luxurious life and pay off a dictator for his "freedom". So - unless he makes a mistake like Assange did - I suspect we have seen the last of him.

Suing him is probably just for public show - there is probably limited money they can go after. Even if they actually got $120 million - it is certainly not going to pay for the problems he caused - but then no one mentions that he did bring Nissan back from the brink before as well - and they did make a lot of money with him in charge. I have not seen the charges nor evidence but running indicates something was not right to me.

It's definitely a bit of a 'show,' IMHO.

Ghosn destroyed Nissan and he needs to be destroyed whatever it takes without rest until it is completed.

To those who say that Renault is so brilliant because it saved Nissan, well they're still in charge, so why is Nissan teetering? That's correct: Renault did this to them.

Nissan should sue Renault.
