Removing some Functionalities is simply Not Legal
THe resulting will end up in courts across the country and cost Tesla Millions in legal fees. But THAT is where those things belong. Once you have sold something - you cannot take it back for nothing.

Happens in the software world all the time. I don't think Tesla will have any issues since many of those features did not exist when people first got their cars. All they need to do is update the app, not a big deal. The only reason to not do it would be to avoid Autopilot nag.
