GM's Inability To Compete Continues - Pulling Out Of Australia, New Zealand And Thailand

General Motors is retreating from more markets outside of the United States and China, saying on Sunday that it will wind down sales, design and engineering operations in Australia and New Zealand and retire the Holden brand by 2021.

GM also said that China's Great Wall Motor Co. had agreed to buy its Thailand manufacturing plant. The automaker said it also plans to pull the Chevrolet brand from Thailand, a major pickup market.

This handwriting was already on the wall when they stopped Manufacturing in Australia. The Australian Market was much more like the US than Europe and bringing in cars from other countries is simply not profitable because of having to convert to Right Hand Drive.

Cadillac will prosper.
Lexus will go electric.
The GMC Sierra/Yukon will replace the horrible Tundra/Sequoia (the rest of GMC's crap will die)
