GM Announces A New Low Cost EV Crossover - But You Can't Buy It Here

They should absolutely bring this to the US and Europe, it's basically a Bolt CUV, which is what is in high demand these days.

Only problem with GM bringing it over is how it performs in comparison to the upcoming Ford Mach-E, VW ID.4, and even the Korean Kona and Niro EVs. Won't even mention the Model Y.

The Mach-E and Model Y are going to be double the price, think there is plenty of room for this if they can maintain a ~$25k starting price. Even the Kona and Niro are really $37-40k w/o incentives. Perhaps they are waiting for the incentives to dry up for all car companies in the US since Hyundai/Kia get the full $7,500 tax credit while GM is tapped out.

In the last decade GM has done nothing right or even very well. The original Volt should have yielded a 2nd gen Volt CUV vs the ELR. The Bolt should also have been a CUV... I expect the Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade are going to do well but that formula is hard to screw up... if possible GM can do it...

If this was brought here, once the US market hears its being imported from China I expect it to be DOA... GM is simply pathetic...

The Mach E is being made in Mexico, which has cheaper labor rates than even China.
