Will Ford SURPRISE? Is The MOST Revolutionary Thing Ford Can Do With The 2021 Bronco Is Add The Mustang Mach-E's EV Powertrain?
If there's one thing I like about Ford it's the company's ability to surprise. At least when it wants to.

I'll never forget the Detroit Auto Show (NAIAS) when Ford debuted not only the all-new GT, but the F-150 Raptor and the GT350. It completely stole the show. It also showed that the Blue Oval had some vigor.

We're just not seeing enough of that these days from the F brand.

This got us thinking. There's a lot of buzz about the all-new Bronco truck. That's great. But, frankly, we don't see many people expressing interest in an electric F-150. We're not convinced an all-electric Lincoln powered by Rivian is going to move the needle either.

Love it or hate it, the Tesla Cybertruck has sucked all of the air out of the room. Ford HAS TO answer back. What would be the best way?

Is the MOST revolutionary plan of attack for Ford to surprise the world with a fully electric Bronco that's powered by the Mustang Mach-E's EV powertrain?

THINK: The all-new Bronco won't be for hauling a lot of gear or hitting up construction sites. This is going to be a piece for people to make a statement around town. It would fit the M.O. of leveraging the Mach-E's capable powertrain.

What say you, Spies?

Sounds like a great idea for the top-end trim.

Totally stupid comment: "Love it or hate it, the Tesla Cybertruck has sucked all of the air out of the room. "

Just because 00R choses to be ignorant of reality does not make such a statement true.

There is a LOT of interest in Rivian. The electric F150 will generate foot traffic. The one thing Ford doesn't do is bilk people out of their money and pretend that's how many orders they have for a product.

As for an all-electric Bronco, not likely anytime soon.

Elon musk is great at creating attention for the brand...he is almost a Steve Jobs type of figure where thousands of people watch his product reveals and wait in line (virtually) for his products. Tesla has a lot of problems with build quality and manufacturing, but no other car company can create the buzz Tesla has. Elon got 500,000 people to put a deposit on a vehicle that is 2 years out...No other car company has the ability to do that

Now it kind of looks like another dud that goes along with the new Explorer and new Escape models! Hope this is a home run for Ford, it needs one badly! Bronco Scout should be a home run too!

TheBronco and the "mini" Bronco will do great as long as they dont screw up with a horrible interior like the Explorer. It was probably too far along in development to use the Mach E powertrain, although there will almost certainly be a EV Bronco in the Future.

Actually it's the EXTERIOR that is causing customers on the lot to walk away from it along with the ridiculous pricing. The Explorer and Escape need a 10% price reduction before the cash on the hood.
