532 HP Giulia Quadrifoglio GTA Coming To Give BMW Even More Headaches

As if the 510 PS Giulia Quadrifoglio wasn’t bonkers enough, Alfa Romeo has a big surprise for fans of its sports sedans.

As a matter of fact, it has two big surprises as the Giulia is getting not only one but two limited edition, higher-performance variants of the Quadrifoglio series. They’re called GTA and GTAm and they look absolutely sensational, judging from these photos courtesy of the Auto Pareri forum.

Not really a great addition other than the engine power boost. Many of the original cars are now on the road and running fine by the way. Also it is not a Dodge Charger platform and it won't be, no matter how many times you repeat it. Been up close and it is not even a modified Dodge Charger platform.

Correct the Giorgio platform was a new design, its longer than expected gestation period slowing the launch of the Giulia is what cost Wester his job as head of Maserati/Alfa.

Giorgio was NOT all-new. It was derived, cheap and dirty, by resizing the Ghibli platform which is 95% Charger. That is demonstrable fact.

The Giorgio's gestation was uncharacteristically short (24 months) and from the get go was a disaster. It famously failed its first crash test and on and on and on.

Also, Alfas have NOT been cured of their horrible reliability issues. They are still going into limp mode and stranding owners.
