SPIED! FIRST Look At The All-new Tesla Model Y's Interior — Notice ANY Differences Over The Model 3?
If you hadn't noticed by now, Tesla is not like the other auto manufacturers. Sometimes this works in the EV company's favor. Other times, it doesn't.

With buyers eagerly awaiting the delivery of Model Y vehicles, we're awaiting a first proper look at a production model that's shipped. Why, you ask?

Well, not much about the production version actually exists. Tesla hasn't exactly been totally forthcoming with information.

As the Model Y has starting shipping, folks on the front lines are snapping pictures and showing as much of the all-new Tesla as possible. We embrace this as we're thinking the Model Y may stand to be even more popular than the Model 3 sedan.

Remember, today's consumers want a higher driving position and the more space, the better.

That said, check out the first batch of photos and some keen observations thanks to the team at electrek. See below!

We haven’t seen much of the Model Y interior, and have assumed it would mostly look like the Model 3, just a bit bigger. But we have seen that the third-row seats aren’t very large, at least in prototype form.

But now that cars are shipping from the factory, we’re starting to see photos and video of the Model Y interior, including more charging options for devices than on the Model 3.

It’s getting repetitive now, but… the Model Y comes out in just a couple weeks, and there’s still a lot we don’t know about it. Since Tesla’s spec list is somewhat lacking, we’ve resorted to size comparisons using whatever objects people happen to have on them and even the people themselves...

1.) The panoramic roof is epic, much nicer than the 3 with no break in the middle
2.) A lot more vertical space, higher seating position and more headroom
3.) Finally, USB-C ports! More power, faster charging.
4.) Extra 12V port in the back.
5.) Power liftgate like the S/X.
6.) Rear bumper looks nicer than the 3.
7.) New rims, larger tires.
8.) More storage on the doors.

It's probably vinyl so that the hateful Alt-Left vegan terrorists will not lose their tiny minds.

It's a synthetic vegan something... lasts longer than leather and no one can tell the difference.

I believe that Deutschland saw a difference. He is someone. Thus someone CAN tell the difference.

Still garbage. Wait until BMW and Mercedes come out with fully electric vehicles. A vastly superior fit and finish and quality interior will put Tesla in trouble quickly.

They already have them and they are not super impressive.

Cadillac is amping up their BEVs too and going to go head to head with Tesla too! Only Cadillac will have the nicer interiors. Yes it will be garbage compare to the British and German luxury models but still better then the Tesla models.

Wait a minute - there is actual storage in the doors?

The Model 3 already has this, S doesn't unless they added it to newer models.

Wow, very tight inside. How can there be a 3rd row option? I'd hate to be in the 2nd row, much less the 3rd.

I haven't been in one, but given the 3's back seat it shouldn't be tight at all. 3rd row will be iffy for an adult though.

I sat in the back of a Model X and even that 2nd row was not what I'd call "spacious". And I'm only 6 feet tall.

Problem with the X is how much space the falcon wind door hardware takes up. The Y might "feel" larger since it is better laid out and has normal doors.

The X and the Y should NOT have been configured as hatchbacks and as such both are disasters. The X needs to be redone YESTERDAY to be more upright and conventional like an X7 or a GLS. The sparrow doors need to hit the trash can NOW.The Y looks like an ungainly, inflated 3. It too should have been more upright and conventional in its form factor. Tesla is "same sausage, same sausage" mentality for styling.

I think the Y might actually look better than the 3, has slightly better proportions. The official sizes leaked out already, it's 7 inches taller, 2 inches wider, and 3 inches longer than the 3.
