Too Big To Fail: Fed Considers Taking Control Of The UAW
The UAW, in the wake of federal corruption charges filed Thursday against former President Gary Jones, faces unprecedented scrutiny and new regulations moving forward as prosecutors continue to mull seeking Teamsters-style government supervision of the union, experts said.

"This is a straightforward embezzlement case; they stole money from members," said Peter Henning, a law professor at Wayne State University.

U.S. Attorney Matthew Schneider has complained publicly that the UAW has not been cooperative throughout the investigation. And federal prosecutors expect cooperation — anything less is a bad signal to send from the UAW, Henning said.

right. this is kinda embarrassing to the concept of the "workers' union" & what it had represented throughout history.

The UAW should be shut down. There's just been too much "unethical internal (business)". There are other unions. The unionization system & culture was corrupt wasn't operating to properly protect it's members. And it was apparent something amiss was occurring based on their recent contracts with the US automakers. Much of it didn't make operational & financial sense for automakers.

Start prosecuting the Politicians that enabled the UAW when as part of the Auto Bailout, they protected the unsecured Bondholders (the UAW) but let the SECURED Bondholders take massive losses.

Well a hell of a lot less will go wrong than with the bastard, criminal Democrats in charge of the UAW who cash rape the mandatory members and line their pockets.

Unions should NEVER be allowed to have union shop because the minute that all workers are forced to belong is the moment at which the union STOPS working for the membership and starts working for itself. Yes, workers have a right to belong to a union, but they must also have the freedom NOT TO.

The UAW must be destroyed. And the next time their membership goes on strike and commits acts of violence and bullying in the streets, I want those people and the union prosecuted as a terrorist organization.
