STUD or DUD? IF The All-new Cadillac Lyriq EV Looks Like THIS, Would You Give It A Chance Or FLUSH It?
As reported in a thread earlier today, this past week General Motors hosted an "EV" day in Michigan. It rolled out 10 vehicles.

Some were known, others were total surprises.

One of the key vehicles we identified is the all-new Cadillac Lyriq. The name already has us wondering if GM's luxury division has what it takes to deliver a winner.

As the Cadillac brand is struggling — aside from its sport-utility vehicles — we've been hoping the marque gets its act together. The CT4 and CT5 look like missteps from where we're sitting.

Plastered on Cadillac's website is an image of an all-new EV SUV. Cadillac doesn't explicitly state this is the Lyriq, however, folks on the ground at this week's event confirmed that it looks startingly similar to that vehicle.

So, we've got to know: IF the all-new Lyriq looks like THIS, would you give it a chance or FLUSH it down the drain? What say you, Spies?

Can't tell from this image, I'd have to see it. But it's highly unlikely any Cadillac will be in the price range I'm will to pay, not really interested anyway.

Remember, this is Cadillac. They think the XT4, XT5, and CT5 are attractive vehicles and that vehicles like the Elmiraj, Escala, and Ciel are not attractive...otherwise they would have produced them.

This will look like an EVized XT5 and will be as dull as Adele's grandma panties.

But even if the Lyrica is hot like the render, it can't just be as good as a Tesla.

GM has made its headlight squinty and narrow more and more till now they have essentially look like a cartoon caricature. Ridiculous design.

Hard to tell from this image. I agree with Matt above that they should do something actually with presence and panache. They have a nice group of show cars to choose from. I think they should do the El Mirage as an EV for their halo car. It is big enough to have a boatload of batteries in it and it has huge presence.

Looks like a Q8 with a Cadillac front end.

I like it. Interesting evolution of the fins into a modern design that is brand appropriate and distinctive. So of course they'll never bring this to market.

An EV Cadillac? Yes it will be expensive.

Boring. Wake me up when they make a performance EV Coupe/Sedan that looks good.

Perhaps you're referring to the Celestiq?

Why the big mystery, these are concepts, show them to the world. The aerodynamics of this front-end look horrendous. What are they trying to say, this is an EV that won't be built?

Only if it is reasonably price like $300K or less!

This looks good, as a lot of Cadillac concepts have. The problem is that when the production model comes it is just another badge engineered product full of GM parts bin materials on the inside.

GM is just all talk.
