Gas Falls To 99 Cents A Gallon At Kentucky BP Station

In Canada it is as low as 68 cents a litre now. Which looks like heaven, but is still $2.57 CAD a gallon when converted. Federal and Provincial "sin taxes" makes up the difference. This is in part how you pay for universal healthcare. But with everyone working from home, government tax revenue will take a big hit.

Taxes are almost 70 cents per gallon in WA state, so we won't see anything close to that here. I topped off my car yesterday, even though I had a half tank. RUG is still over $3 here in the Seattle area. Fortunately I can use Fred Meyer (Kroger) fuel points and get $1 per gallon off.

That is it! I'm driving my John Deere on down to Kentucky to get me some cheap gas and shine!!!

A few winters ago, by my buddy Creighton--yes named after the university and has a brother named Stanford--and I shipped two TVRs to Florida and drove them through the deep south to Texas. I knew the cars would draw attention, so I enforced a dress code: wranglers, buckles, baseball cap, etc. so that we'd appear normal to the locals. It was hard for Crite because he's a Seattle, old-money, posh boy but it was fun. Driving an Interceptor through KENtucky and Tennessee would be fun.

Driving into a gas station with the TVRs and getting out almost always got a "The hell is that?"
