WATCH: Enthusiastic Tesla Model Y Owner Boasts Of Going
The Tesla Model Y is taller and has more ground clearance than the Model 3 on which it based, it has an “Off-Road Assist” feature, and Tesla even says on its website that the car is “capable in rain, snow, mud and off-road.” But the Model Y is pretty obviously not an off-road beast—something that’s worth pointing out after a Twitter user posted a video of his Y doing some of the tamest “off-roading” many have ever seen.

LMAO, should be “overly cautious Tesla Owner drove over a puddle in his Model Y”

In his defense...that’s more than most Tesla owners will experience. Can’t wait to see his next video encountering a speed bump or pot hole...

so...i can drive thru that in a Chevette.

i can push an old non-running Chevette thru that shallow stream.

but this guy is feeling mighty proud of himself & his EV purchase. lets just give him the "shine" for the moment. lol

So the soy boy who cut off his balls because the Alt-Left says that men are toxic drove his apologistmobile through a puddle to pretend he still has balls.

Dumb ass rocks idiot who thinks driving an EV though a pond is a good idea. Also with crap for ground clearance that thing isn't going to get very far off-road. And where's the nearest off-road supercharger lol?

With 300 miles of range you don't need supercharging, you're not driving at high speeds. If you stay under 35 mph, you can get 400-500 miles out of a long range Tesla.

Yeah, taking a Y offroading is probably not the best idea. They should have given it a dynamic suspension, hopefully in a future update. The suspension on my Model S is one of the few features I miss on the 3. Love how it is synced with GPS so if you raise or lower your car in a certain spot, it will remember and automatically go to that height every time you return. I would easily pay $2-3k for that suspension on a 3 or Y.

Driving off road you're not gonna get anywhere near 300 mi of range lol. I dare you to try that.

I wouldn't know to be honest, but EVs are way more efficient at low speeds. It will be interesting to see range tests when the Cybertruck (or any EV truck) is readily available.
