Critic Says Model Y Build Quality Is On Par With The Industry

Tesla Inc.’s new Model Y has what people have come to expect from Elon Musk’s cars: It’s lightning quick, handles nicely and has better electronic gadgetry than its competitors.

Unlike past Tesla offerings, early versions are rolling off the assembly line looking more like what you would expect from a company with a handle on the finer points of car building, according to Sandy Munro. The manufacturing consultant who’s been tearing cars apart piece-by-piece for three decades offered his initial impressions before digging into the Model Y that his shop took delivery of this week.

Average build quality is pretty damn good in the auto industry these days...most cars are very well built, we don't really see the sloppy panel gaps and misaligned interior panels that were so common only 10 years ago.

Alfa is pretty close to bottom of the barrel. Average would be along the lines of Ford, Hyundai, Kia, Nissan..

As it is for all companies, check out consumer reports for aggregate stat and complaints to really see how Tesla compares to other companies. Most models hold up pretty damn well.

Tesla and Alfa are Chinese hoaxes. They are not using liberal biased science in these quality surveys.
