I don't think the quarantine should be tied to the car you drive. If anything we should be testing for immunity and let those that are currently immune (mostly those that already had the virus) live without restrictions and help restart the economy asap.

As for LA specifically, yeah they should probably do something to discourage ICE use. The Bay Area already has great EV adoption and probably doesn't need any drastic measures.

Doing so would be illegal.

But this is California, they routinely ignore federal laws if they don't agree with them.

And the reckoning is coming. The day after Trump's re-election, California will be in very deep caca.

This is bunk, fake news. This what LA has looked like for 50 years after it rains and it has been raining here a lot over the past month. LA's smog is a fraction of what it used to be when I was a kid and has been like that for years now. @SanJoseDriver, your LA to Bay Area comparison is bull. I spend equal time between them and there are no more EVs in the BA than in LA, if anything there are more Tesla's in LA than in the BA.

Now you've gone and done it! Speaking the truth will get you in hot water here.

13% of Bay Area car sales are EVs versus 7% of LA. That's 2 year old data but I don't think those have reversed. There might be more total Teslas in LA, but as a % it is way higher in the Bay Area. In Silicon Valley specifically I think it is now over 20%. Not all Teslas of course.

Yes only to EV drivers. All ICE drivers should be sent to reeducation camps immediately. Once they see the light and get an EV they may, may be allowed back on the roads.
