WATCH: 2020 Corvette Owner Airs His Gripes - Would These Problems Hold You Back From Writing A Check?

No car out there is perfect - that’s something we absolutely agree with. Even the best vehicles we’ve tested (or owned) have their own little flaws and that’s just normal. With that said, what could be the negative points of a brand new, 2020 Chevrolet Corvette C8? We’ll let one owner explain.

Honestly, we’ve already heard quite some criticism about the mid-engine Corvette but that doesn't mean it isn’t a great car. That’s exactly what Chevy Dude explains in his latest video, saying that the new ‘Vette is even more than what he dreamed about. Here are the five things he doesn’t like about the car.

The build quality of the initial C8s we've seen are so atrocious they should have never left the factory. Trim that doesn't even remotely line up and bad, wavy stitching that looks like Nanci Pelosi did it after her 4th martini while sucking her dentures.

Is the bad trim work GM's fault or a supplier? Don't dash boards come as a module? I don't think they are setup with a wood and leather shop like at Bentley or Aston Martin. GM's fault for letting out out of QC though.

"Is the bad trim work GM's fault or a supplier?" if it gets past GM it's GM's fault. But there are other fit and finish glitches that are just not good. We were seriously surprised by what came in because you could see evident quality glitches. Did they push the pilot cars out as production models? That is the only explanation.

Several people asked if we had any C7s left.

Not good if a C8 potential buyer is asking about C7's.

Corvette buyers WEREN'T comping at the bit for a mid-engined Corvette as their only option. The C8 is probably the car that will get the Corvette discontinued.

Gotta say, it doesn't surprise me... GM is just pathetic and the Vette was really the only shining star... now its seems it isn't.... Thanks Mary

She's probably between the sheets at the Comfort Inn off the interstate crying to her toy boy Johan.

It is wise NEVER to purchase the first year of a new generation vehicle.

Fortunately that's not always true. If anything cars launch so well these days it's only when one doesn't that we get people sneering: "It is wise NEVER to purchase the first year of a new generation vehicle." But, they say that solely to laugh at people who bought a first-year model and had issues so as to make themselves feel superior.

What color would you like your Bronco in?

It only a $60K C8 and rumors are they loosing money on the base model. Accept the flaws and drive on....!

The $60K C8 was (1) a one-year model as the base price is expected to jump $10K for 2021 and (2) the base model wasn't what came to the lot. Our meager supply that arrived before Governor Newshit decided to turn California into Venezuela were around $80K.
