Cadillac Cans More Affordable XT2 Crossover - Because Who Knows Why
A few years ago, Cadillac filed trademarks for several names that it may or may not use for upcoming models. The list included the XT2 which, based on the marque's nomenclature, would be a smaller SUV that would slot in below the existing XT4. They are in fact dropping the CT/XT names, but the XT2 was to have been yet another version of the lackluster Chevy Trax that produced the ghastly Buick Encore. Cadillac was going to badge engineer the Encore into a Cadillac. The dealer flip out was over the top.

Arguably, GM should fold Buick and GMC with only Chevrolet and Cadillac as their brands.

With all the "badge engineering" I agree. To bad they (GMC, Buick) don't make differentiated products but merely resigned copies of each other.

That's one CUV down, 300 to go.
