Elon Musk Joins Protestors Demanding Lockdown Restrictions To Be Lifted

Billionaire Elon Musk has slammed coronavirus lockdown measures by tweeting 'Free America Now' as he joined protesters from across the country in demanding restrictions be lifted.

The Tesla founder fired off a series of tweets late on Tuesday protesting against the current lockdown restrictions and applauded some states, like Texas, which are now restarting their economies.

Stanford, one of the top medical facilities in the world, just cut salaries for medical workers by 20%. We're not only bankrupting small businesses and the travel industry, but ironically medical facilities. That will reduce our capacity to handle future crisis like this.

I'm happy some states are removing restrictions so that we can do a true A/B comparison. Based on how Sweden is doing, my guess is there will be little difference between states that are highly restricted and those that are not.

The only reason the Democrat state governors are continue doing the lockdown( aka staying at home) is too weaken Trump for the November elections.

And it's backfiring just like the bogus impeachment bullshit. When he wins in November, I hope he has that denture-sucking old bitch arrested.

I just read an analysis of the financial cost of all the shutdowns. Works out to $7 trillion. If it saves 100,000 lives that works out to $70 million per life saved. A while ago it was determined that government agencies valued a human life at $2.5 million in deciding the return on a new regulation that would cost an industry to implement. Lets say with inflation its now $10M per life saved. If so the shutdown is WAAAAY out of proportion to the problem at hand.

As a member of the over 60 crowd that all this is protecting, I would rather see people back at work, kids back in school and I'll take responsibility for my own protection. Make N95 masks available to me (I'll buy them) as it is the only mask that protects the wearer from catching the virus from someone else. All the other masks just keep the wearer from infecting others but don't protect the wearer. Give me tests that I can use for my kids and grandkids so I know its safe to hug them, and don't violate my 6' personal zone. If you want my business as a restaurant have special safe seating times or arrangements. Tesla and other firms do something similar for all the factory workers and folks who have to work close together.

We can solve this!

The irony is that everybody dies sometime...so these are not 'lives saved' but perhaps more accurately, 'deaths delayed'.

HUGE backlash coming against the liberals who wrongly think they can control everything, including even death it seems.

Republican landslide in the fall.

You won't solve this opening up businesses. India did a hard 30 day shut down and they only have 31k cases and 1k deaths with 1.3B people. The USA has 1M cases now and is an example of what not to do by letting politics override science. Don't make it worse.

"Cases" mean NOTHING. The death rate for COVID is statistically irrelevant it is so small.

I fall into the high risk category as I have asthma, heart conditions and am an old fucker and this is BEYOND ridiculous. You DONT put the world and economy on hold to save a few people (you put them in isolation).

This same is the same stupidity where they want to lower the speed limit in Toronto residential streets down to 30KM from 50KM to reduce fatalities. Sure lets slow down a whole major metropolitan city daily commute to save maybe 25 people a year. Most of these morons are too busy on their damn phones to see the cars coming and frankly deserve to die and kids need to learn to look before they cross but most parents these days are too busy on their goddamn phones and social media to even bother being a parent. The odd kid that gets killed is unfortunate but just part of life.

Our county is locked down with an infection rate of 0.00097% and a death rate of 0.000007%.

Remember the medical industry thought maximum pain control with Opioids was a good idea and gave close to the same number of deaths just last year.

This crisis has demonstrated that democrat leaders are fascists at heart. From the Louisiana mayor who threatened to confiscate guns to the idiot Michigan governor who continues to issue fascist decrees violating constitutional rights, the far left leaders have shown America that they are incapable of true leadership and will revert to their true fascist ideology when given a chance.

It will be interesting. I think closing the beaches and trails are idiotic if you want to prevent people from clustering together. Now there is even less space for people to stand and they'll crowd sidewalks and streets.

It's so simple! It's just too bad all of the medical experts and politicians on Trump's coronavirus task force didn't call all of the Kia dealers around the country for their input.

Resist, Defy, get sick and die. We are now at 65K deaths. The projection by the end of May is 100K deaths. Heard immunity may work but it could take 2 years before it becomes effective. We could have a million plus dead by then. How do you think this is normal?

Hey, shit head. The CDC backed out 11K deaths, then backed out more. We're at 30K deaths that were previously counted as COVID that AREN'T.

But I'd be happy for you to be in the body count for being so damned stupid.

Herd immunity happens in 2-5 weeks.
