Covers Get Pulled Back On Next Gen BMW 2-Series Coupe - Don't We Deserve Better?

Supposedly leaked pictures of what could only be the upcoming next-gen BMW 2 Series Coupe unfortunately looks like it’s been attacked with an axe and beaten until swollen.

We love to hate the 2 Series Gran Coupe—a car that’s perfectly fine to drive but not so easy to look at, and its front-wheel drive completely flies in the face of everything BMW once was. That’s why there was so much hope riding on the new 2 Series Coupe, which is meant to keep its sports car lineage going.

Karim Habib and Adrian Ven Hooydonk are inept as hell. They either produce generic, dated cars like the 3/5/7, or pig-snouted shit, or they show a gorgeous concept but the resulting car looks like a bad Chinese copy of a Mustang mashed up with a BMW face (8 Series).

Not only is BMW adrift with product development, their styling is at an all-time nadir and that's really saying something given the ugly shit Bangle turned out.

BMW should have made the 7-series from the Future Luxury Concept(2014?) and used that interior/exterior design language trickle down the range. The i3 and i8 have been a big distraction. The 3-series has been another waisted effort in design.

Seems designers are trying out several new languages

Front looks better than horrendous 1 series, and they finally learn not to put double lamps on a small car!

And I'd tell them to return to the BMW signature of 4 round headlights.

I don't hate this 2 coupe. Looks cool.

I liked that look too, but that ship has sailed.

Not necessarily. It could easily be done and would make BMWs stand out in a sea of "insect eye" headlight designs.

Imagine how the new 4 Series coupe could look if you took the face of the 2800CS and had 4 round headlights tightly framed in a black grille with narrow kidneys that bisected the grille and bumper.

It could be a game changer for BMW to recapture that utter simplicity.

BMW has lost the concept of subtlety in its design. The idea of a the vertical grill is not a bad concept to hark back to. However BMW must have been dreaming of ejaculating on pigs when they came up with their design. Well at least the 4 series is supposed be more agile in its handling then the 3 series. I like this new design of the 2 series in that it's the least "ugly" of all the BMW models.
