WATCH: Fleeing Driver Dies After Police Perform PIT Maneuver At Over 100 MPH

Dramatic dashcam footage has captured the moment a PIT maneuver went wrong during a high-speed chase in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

A report from 5 News Online says that the chase started at around 6:30 a.m. on April 10 when an officer with the U.S. Forestry Service noticed a black Ram 1500 pickup run a red light. The truck was being driven by 34-year-old Justin Battenfield and before long, a pursuit was underway.

How about fixing your headline. The PIT maneuver is not a "low speed" tactic. While 109 MPH is higher than it's typically used, the driver being pursued was a serious danger to other drivers, and had to be stopped.

I'm OK with the bastard dying. People run from the police because they are guilty of something and that is shown here. When the lights come on you pull over. The driver is not an innocent victim. Good riddance to worthless shit.

If you look at the 1:04 mark the patrol car body appears to separate from the frame of the vehicle.
