Military Eyes Tesla's Semi For Active Duty
While the U.S. Army considers replacing its current assault and service fleet with vehicles powered by renewable energy, the Tesla Semi was mentioned in passing by one prominent U.S. General. Indeed, proponents of green energy claim that the military brass would benefit from a number of advantages if they decided on adding the vehicle. Here's how the Tesla Semi might make a contribution to our armed forces.

Elon is having another one of his big meltdowns today.

He tweeted that Tesla stock price is too high after which it proceeded to tank 10%.

After that he tweeted out the national anthem and demanded FREEDOM.

If that's not enough, he then claimed he was selling all of his physical possessions.

Ugh.

@MD- He beat you to the punch... Admit it.

The benefits to the armed forces seem pretty obvious from the points made in the article. A way to go though in terms of range and standardization across multiple platforms before the US Army would cut a cheque.

Why would I say the Army is Alt-Left? That's illogical.

My issue would be the the EVs themselves. How are you going to charge them in the battle field?

Conveniently the article skips the part about recharging these BEV Semi trucks or any other BEV military vehicle. Regenerative braking can't be relied on in all circumstances I would think.

If they are taking them somewhere with gasoline, they're going to have electricity there as well. A Semi can also haul around a 3 MW PowerPack, which is good for 1,500 miles of extra range on the Semi or 7,500 miles on Cybertrucks.
