Which Design Will AGE Better? The New Corvette Or Lamborghini Urus
Over the years, many new vehicles have made a splash on the market and at first and for a while captured the minds and hearts of many people.

Like a new movie star that has a style/look that people haven't seen before. And they garner all the attention because of it.

But the biggest enemy of all style and beauty is TIME. Don't believe me? Just google a recent photo of Brigitte Bardot. One of the most beautiful women ever. But even she, can't escape aging.

In the car world, I'll give you one example. The Chrysler Crossfire. When it came out people were going apesh_t over it. Jay Leno in particular.

But go look at one today and the bloom is off the rose.

All car designs age but some do it better than others. Like an Audi R8. It still looks great and is a perfect example of a vehicle design that ages like fine wine.

So we have two new entries that have had brash launches, are emotional and are quite popular right now.

The all new mid-engine Corvette and the Lamborghini Urus.

Our question is WHICH of these two are YOU betting will age the best?

Corvette by far. The Uterus is just a Lamborghini Aztek.

The C2 Vette will age the very best.
Fashion changes but style endures; the C2 was the king of style.

Nothing original or distinctive about The C8, it’s just a copulation of styling cues from other cars. Nice looking but familiar.

The Urus on the other hand is very striking, won’t be mistaken for anything else, however it will probably looked dated in 10 years.

The C8 - I have one on order - it looks good except the rear is ugly, but I've seen a few on the street and they have a great presence. The Urus is not likely to age well. I also have a V12S Vantage - one of the most beautiful cars (inside and out) ever made and no doubt ageless. I was very much against the DBX Aston Martin thinking there goes another Andy Palmer design mess (the DB11 is nothing special - terrible interior, and the new Vantage just hideous). Then I saw the DBX in real life - not just photos. I sat in the DBX and saw they actually did a great job in the interior. The DBX blows the Urus away on just about every level - except 'look at me' and even then it's close. I think the Urus won't age well, the C8 will, but they need to do something about the rear - it's ugly without the spoiler or wing, and even then, just less ugly. But it's an incredible start.

Both designs have significant aesthetic challenges (the Corvette C7 was a much more handsome GT car). The Corvette will likely benefit greatly from a mid-cycle refresh for a variety of reasons.

That being said, since the Corvette is a unique and iconic design, it will age better.

The Urus on the other hand is basically a badge-engineering Touareg/Cayenne/Q7 and will basically end up being a 'used car' in 3 years time. Plus all the sporty plastic bits will get damaged and will look like sh*t after a few years of use.

What do you think of a prior-gen Porsche Panamera? Used car with crazy maintenance needs. Urus will be the same and will similarily depreciate like a rock.

The Uterus will be a worthless money pit whereas the Corvette will still be desirable in 20 years.

You can put a dog crate or two real size golf bags with clubs in the Urus. The C8 is more space challenged than the C7. A hockey bag and a couple of sticks would easily fit in a C7-C4. I can't tell you how many times I have seen a Corvette loaded like this in Canada. Not this C8. More of a one trick pony vs being a more livable daily driver. Visually both of these vehicles are challenged in some way. A mid cycle refresh may help.

Of course you, could just put your dog in the car.

I'm not really understanding why we are comparing these two cars. Seems odd. Maybe compare the Urus and the Bentayga? But I guess the Vette because the Audi Q8 and the Urus look alike to me. And I'm not a fan of the way the Vette looks. I am a fan of the bang for the buck though. One passed me yesterday and definitely grabs attention.

Nothing better to do.

How about this: Which will be the future classic? Fusion, 200, or Malibu.

Which vehicle you displease runninglogan1 most if he were forced to drive only it for a month? Ford 350 or Mitsubishi Mirage

If you were a Kardashian who hadn't lost her virginity yet, which car would you give it up in?

Urus. The C8 already has an dated feel to it. It actually like it could be a PREVIOUS generation McLaren. It only looks good to many people now because it’s new. But if you truly look past that at just the design itself, take off the Corvette Badges and many would look past it compared to other exotics and super cars.

The C7 has a far better stance than the C8.
