Santa Cruz Pickup Body Caught In Production Form - Close Enough To The Concept For You?

Santa Cruz Pickup Body Caught In Production Form - Close Enough To The Concept For You?
Hyundai has been making quite the buzz lately with its upcoming pickup truck, the  Santa Cruz. The unibody pickup truck debuted its production form, albeit completely wrapped in camo, in a set of spy shots back in February. We rendered the truck based on those photos, but it's hard to be certain with such heavy camo. Thanks to a recently leaked image that shows the truck's full-body, we have a lot less to wonder about.

If it looks like the concept they found a niche for sure.

I honestly think crossoverpickups will be a thing. Honda has gotten it wrong twice with the Ridgeline. The first Ridgeline was a crossoverpickup--well ahead of its day--but massively wrong in its market placement. It was far too expensive and needed to be Civic/CRV based. The second one isn't a crossover pickup and isn't a real pickup and the lackluster sales show it. The Santa Cruz could be a Telluride-like hit for Hyundai.

seems to have the same odd creases as the new Elantra. Can't say I'm a fan of that, but overall, the Santa Cruz is different from everything else.

Interested in the 2 door but not the 4 door. Nice job Hyundai

A two-door would be unsellable in the market if you want any volume.

You could be correct, but I like the 2 door styling. The 4 door is a thumbs down for me.

You do realize that the concept isn't a two door, right?

GM will follow in 2-3 years, as GM does, follow, never leading...
