If Tesla Moves To Texas Where Would Be The Best Places For HQ And A New Giga Factory?
Tesla filed suit Saturday night against Alameda County, California, after local officials there refused to let the company reopen its Fremont factory.

In a series of tweets earlier Saturday, Tesla CEO Elon Musk also threatened to move the company's headquarters to Texas or Nevada, where shelter-in-place rules are less restrictive.
"Frankly, this is the final straw. Tesla will now move its HQ and future programs to Texas/Nevada immediately," Musk tweeted. Tesla did not respond to a request for comment on Saturday.

Near Laredo, TX (and by extension Nuevo Laredo) so Musk can access a near-unlimited quantity of workers who would be willing to screw and glue together Model 3's, 24/7 as long as Tesla HR doesn't ask too many questions.

Every new Tesla can come with a free bottle of Tequila.

Kind of a dilemma, on one hand the main reason to move is the restrictive gov't regulations, on the other Tesla needs a high number of qualified and educated workforce, an issue that they have been fighting in Sparks, NV.

He won’t move the hq...too much talent base in the tech space in the Bay Area. They already have a factory in Nevada...why not expand there.

It wont happen. The cost of closing a plant and paying severance to the work force is substantial and is only warranted when you are moving to a much cheaper jurisdiction like China to offset the major costs of relocation. This is just Musk being musk and getting free PR of which he is master of that.
