Musk TAUNTS California. ARREST ME! Opens Factory In Defiance!
Elon Musk confirmed Monday that Tesla has resumed operations at its main California plant in defiance of the state's coronavirus lockdown restrictions - daring authorities to come arrest him for the violation if they wish.
The plant in Fremont, south of San Francisco, had been closed since March 23 in an effort to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Are you in agreement or should he be punished severely?

Wow, this is getting interesting. Sometimes you have to do what you think is right and ask for forgiveness later. However, this is definitely pushing the limits into the gray zone.

Nope. it's pretty black-and-white. Californians are becoming aware that the Democrat leaders in this state raped them of their constitutional rights.

PS...by the way...our full opening without any protocols has not produced a peep of uproar.

Have to arrest him. If they don't then who can they when they disobey. Then again he is a rich celebrity and this is California. Your move governor.

The Governor supports the factory reopening, as does the city, as does the federal government. It's only Alameda county holding them back. I highly doubt the Fremont police will make any arrests, especially since they report to the city, not county.

The problem is that he doesn't have the balls to just do it. He's a cuckold of his Auntie Nancy.

Governor Nancyboy Wiggledick was talking about phase 3 being months away but the firestorm of rage against him has to be making him think that his 2020 re-election is toast. Suddenly phase 3 is next week.

Trump can only dream of approval ratings as high as Newsom's. He'll be easily re-elected. Your bubble is thick - like your skull.

There are some remote counties in Northern California that said f-all and fully reopened restaurants and all businesses.

Meanwhile, in Georgia they have reopened just about everything for two weeks now and their deaths and new cases have stayed the same.

Two things about new cases:

(1) An increase in the number of cases does not logically suggest that the sickness is worsening, but only that dramatically more people are being tested.

(2) County Public Health Departments have been complicit in scheduling the announcement of new cases to coincide with the lock-down goals of elected officials.

Musk lives for as much attention as he can get. He is completey incapable of letting a single week go by without his name grabbing headlines.

A few weeks ago, it was all about providing "proper" ventilators.

Then it was about him "selling all of my physical possessions."

Now, he's getting media visibility for his threat to move the plant out of state...

"Arrest Me First" is the teaser this week.

Guaranteed that next week will find him getting massive attention for something else he's concocted.

It's what he lives for. And what he can't live without.

From CNBC..."Goldman Sachs Group Inc has $213 million in loans outstanding to Musk, while he owes Morgan Stanley $209 million, and another $85 million to Bank of America Corp. Those loans are backed by Musk’s shares in Tesla, currently worth a total of around $8 billion. If Tesla’s stock declines, then Musk could be forced to sell some of those shares under terms of the loan, according to the Tesla filing."

Apparently margin loans to exercise stock options...what could possibly go wrong???

"......he has to borrow, sometimes a lot, to pay for his lifestyle and business investments without liquidating shares that help him maintain control of the companies he runs. About half his Tesla stock is pledged as collateral for personal loans, an April 28 financial filing shows. Maintaining his equity stake—about 20%, or around $29 billion at its current valuation—is important for him to keep control over the Silicon Valley auto maker. Musk also doesn’t take a salary at Tesla, but he apparently became eligible for stock options worth more than $1 billion this week. To get that money, he will need an eye-watering $592 million to exercise the option, according to the WSJ. It’s not clear if Musk has the money on hand to exercise that option or if the money raised from the house sales will be used to help pay for the sum. “Mr. Musk said he wasn’t selling his possessions because he needs the money,” the WSJ reported.

Let's see - (i) Fremont, CA and Shanghai Tesla production shut down until recently; (ii) financing markets not all that healthy; (iii) Tesla is sort of closed so it can't get the government welfare "PPP" forgivable loan (e.g. free money); and (iv) Musk has been regularly screaming like a CSI hostage duct taped to a lawn chair and hit with jumper cables attached to a Model 3 power pack.

Hmmmm...how is this going to end?

The issue is your government. Why should a county be able to flout the wishes of the State or the Federal Government. The power to determine what should be done about COVID-19 should remain the preview of the State while following and implementing Federal guidelines. A county should not have any control over a plant opening or not.

I have no love for Teslas in general, but I do admire Elon. The man has plenty of chutzpah and I love it that he's waving his middle finger at the local government officials that are overstepping their bounds. Of course all the fascist liberal tin pot dictators like that beotch San Diego assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez, can go F themselves.

LOL he can be anywhere in the world or on his megayacht. He's got armies of lawyers. The government won't arrest him because they know they're going to lose in court against a guy like Elon who has F U money. Also the constitution is on his side.
